OUR POLICY

GENERAL INFORMATION: We are located about 60 miles west of St. Louis. We garden in USDA Region 6A, which means that we experience average lows in the winter of -10 to -5 degrees. While it can be seriously cold in the winters, it can also get very hot and humid in the summers. We have found it best to grow mostly dormant and semi-evergreen type daylilies here, although some evergreens survive and bloom quite well. If you see a listing here for an older evergreen daylily, you can be sure that particular variety has survived and multiplied in our climate. If it is a newer evergreen variety, it may still be in its trial period. When we find that an evergreen doesn't thrive in our gardens, we tend to send it south as a customer bonus.

GARDEN VISITORS: One of our favorite activities is welcoming visitors and touring our garden with them. That's why we became an official American Daylily Society Display Garden in 2016. Display gardens must carry some of every type of daylily, as well as older and newer cultivars so that the folks who visit will get an idea of the wide variety available. If you would like to visit, please contact us, trying to give us a few days' notice.

SHIPPING: Our shipping dates will depend on weather--mostly ours, but also yours. Some of our plants will be fully recovered from their winter's rest by late March, while others are not ready to be dug until late April. We ship through October 15; later to our more southern friends if our weather permits. If you have a preferred shipping date, please let us know at the time of your order.

PAYMENT: We accept PayPal when you use the automated shopping cart. We also accept checks and money orders. Please do not send payment until your order has been confirmed. Please do not send cash through the mail!

ORDERING: The best way to order is using the automated shopping cart. If you prefer, you can notify us of your order by e-mail, regular mail or phone. See the Contact Us page for our addresses.

SHIPPING CHARGES: We charge $10, plus $3 per plant for shipping. We use USPS Priority Mail.

E-MAIL PREFERRED: We want to be sure that we respond to each inquiry from every customer. The best way for us to do that is through e-mail. We will respond within 48 hours with an e-mail or phone call.

HOLDING SELECTIONS: We will hold your plants for ten days from the time of your order. If we have not received payment by then, we will release the hold. If we have the time, we will attempt to contact you before we release your selections. Time is very short for us during the shipping season, so this may not be possible.

BONUS PLANTS: We aim to include a minimum 25% bonus with your order. We'll call it grower's choice at this time, but please let us know if there is a particular variety you like and we'll try to accommodate.

GUARANTEE: We guarantee that your plants will be blooming-sized, healthy and true to name. We guarantee you will receive at least two fans of your selections, unless noted otherwise in our listings. If ever you are unhappy for any reason, please contact us immediately, as your satisfaction is always our goal.
